Dafna Sartiel
About:
Printmaking / Photography artist.
Graduated from Bezalel Academy and worked for years as a designer. Since 2005 has been working and specialising in etching and engraving at the Tel Aviv Artists' House printshop, and at her own studio in Tel-Aviv.
Statement:
In her works, Dafna Sartiel captures current, local and trivial moments, transforms them through a hybrid filter which comprises of traditional techniques such as engraving, etching and mosaic, together with contemporary technologies of photography, computer-image-processing and modern raw-materials, creating new, relevant and universal representations.
